LT RUBBER BEARING

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
LT RUBBER BEARING is used for supporting vertical loads as well as for absorbing bearing rotations and horizontal displacements. It is commonly utilized for buildings, bridges and other civil engineering constructions because they are easy to install, durable and maintenance free.

LT RUBBER BEARING listed in this brochure are manufactured from natural rubber, nominal hardness 60 IRHD, with physical properties shown below, in accordance with BS 5400 : Section 9.2 : 1983 MS671, BSEN when tested to BS 903 and BS 5400 : Part 9 : 1983.
MATERIAL SPECIFICATION
INSTALLATION
1. Ensure concrete surface is well roughened and recessed by about 10mm.
2. Cast the bearing plinth to the required level with high strength non-shrink and self leveling grout / epoxy of min. 50 N/mm2 at 28 days.
3. Place the rubber bearing onto the plinth. Ensure that the distance of the bearings to the edge of the plinth is greater than the height of the plinth.
4. For cast in-situ beams, plinth can be poured directly over the bearings.
5. For precast beam, it is essential that the beam soffit is horizontal. This can be achieved by supporting the precast beams temporary above the bearings and grouting the space between the beam and the bearings.
